Civil engineering firm Makhaotse, Narasimulu & Associates has appointed Dheven Pillay and Strini Delomoney directors.
Pillay has a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and is registered with the Engineering Council of South Africa.
Pillay, who has 19 years’ experience in civil engineering, also oversees operations at the company’s head office in Pietermaritzburg.
Delomoney has bachelor’s degrees in civil engineering and management and is also registered with the council.
He has more than 22 years’ experience in the industry and is based at one of the company’s Durban branches. Information and communications technology company BCX has appointed Michael Buttner chief operating officer.
Buttner joins BCX from T-Systems, where he served as vice-president of sales and service management and vicepresident of service delivery. He has more than 30 years’ experience in ICT. Ashburton Investments, the asset management arm of the FirstRand group, has appointed Nkareng Mpobane chief investment officer of long-only fund management.
The role will cover the entire long-only fund range, including South Africa, Jersey and Luxembourg.
Mpobane joined Ashburton Investments in 2012.
