The new “Zodiac Cirrus” seats, which convert to flat beds, have been fitted with airbags, and safety belts that cannot extend around waists more than 56-inches thick. The news is being spun online as a “ban“on obese passengers — and parents with babies on their laps. Both are typically given seatbelt extenders but these are not possible in this case because of the airbags.
