Pan-African telecoms group Liquid Telecom has appointed Reshaad Sha as CEO of Liquid Telecom South Africa.

Sha was CEO of SqwidNet, an open-access Internet of Things network operator, and has for the past five years served as chief strategy officer and executive director of the open-access fibre-optic company Dark Fibre Africa. Relativ Media has appointed Katja Wellen sales account manager.

Wellen will be responsible for managing a large portfolio of national and multinational brands and growing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders. She will also be tasked with providing strategic sales solutions within the Relativ Media Group. Minor Hotels has appointed Mark Havercroft regional director for Africa. He will be based in its Johannesburg regional office.

He joins Minor Hotels from the Legacy Group, where he ran business development and hotel operations in Africa, a field he also worked in at Lonrho Hotels, Wilderness Safaris and Zimbabwe Sun. Mastercard has appointed Raghav Prasad division president for Sub-Saharan Africa.

He has 30 years’ global financial services and payments industry experience, including running his own consulting practice focusing on the Middle East and Africa as well as working for global players like Citibank and RBS.
