Douglas McLean has been appointed chief financial officer for constructi­on equipment supplier Rosond.

He is a chartered accountant and has worked in the UK, mainly for BP.

When he returned to South Africa, he worked briefly for Placer Dome (now Barrick Gold) before moving to Sandvik in Zambia. Thabo Phokane has been appointed chief financial officer at facilities management company Servest.

He is a chartered accountant who studied at the University of Durban Westville.

After completing his articles at Deloitte & Touche, he held various positions at Colliers RMS and SARS. Novus Holdings, a printing and manufactur­ing company, has appointed Tim Stewart, pictured near right, who was the MD of ITB Plastics, group executive: packaging, while Trevor Davies, the former operations director, will take over as the MD of ITB Plastics.

Davies has held the position of operations director at ITB Plastics since 2007 and was responsibl­e for various functions, including production, procuremen­t and maintenanc­e.

“With more than 10 years’ experience at ITB Plastics, Trevor was the worthy successor to take over from Tim. We look forward to their continued contributi­on,” said Keith Vroon, Novus Holdings Group CEO.
