About the artist

Artist Roelof Louw was 67 when he had his first child.

He married Alida Louw in 2003. She was 49 years his junior.

He rose to fame in 1967 when he exhibited a pyramid made up of more than 5 000 oranges. He died 50 years after the exhibition.

There are four contested wills purported to have been signed by Louw, giving rise to a tapestry of opinions about his last wishes.
