Steveland Hardaway Juskins (Stevie Wonder) is born in Saginaw, Michigan. Born six weeks premature, along with the oxygen-rich atmosphere in the incubator, results in retinopath­y of prematurit­y and he becomes blind. At the age of 11 he is discovered singing and playing the harmonica. Clarence Paul of Motown Records gives him the name Little Stevie Wonder. He has won an Oscar and 25 Grammy Awards (74 nomination­s)
