HOUSE OF GAMES

-

Games have always been a part of travel — think “Eye Spy” on long drives and “30 Seconds” round the campfire. But a luxury estate near Orlando, Florida — available for rent — is taking the fun to the next level, with rooms that offer 360-degree interactive gaming experiences. The Great Escape Lakeside Estate is better known as the “boardgame house”, with 13 rooms themed on the world’s most beloved titles.

These include a Monopoly room, painted so the walls resemble a giant board (the closet is the jail); and the Scrabble room, filled with huge lettered tiles — if you can unscramble them, you win a prize.

The Pac-Man room includes an “old-school” TV and a round, yellow bed resembling the ’Man himself, to gobble you up at night.

There’s also a Cluedo room, in which guests must solve a murder; and a Word Search Puzzle Wall (on a whiteboard), 62 500 letters with a possible 7 206 words.
