TEEPEE TIME

-

A UK-based company is offering travellers a unique way to experience the Arctic Circle’s “midnight sun” this July — with a glamping site set up on the Lofoten Islands in northern Norway.

From now until August, you can sleep in a luxury teepee with Off the Map Travel, the first time the trip is being offered on the remote island chain populated by only 24 500 people.

Set on the Norwegian archipelago on the Norwegian Sea above the Arctic Circle, the teepees, known as lavuu, offer spectacular views across the fjords and mountains and contain beds with fine linen.

The stay is part of a three-day adventure offered by the company, which also includes cruising the islands, a visit to a goat farm and cultural walks. ● offthemap.travel.
