Santam has appointed Vusi Khanyile chairman. He replaces Grant Gelink, who resigned in June. Khanyile joined the Santam board as an independent nonexecutive director in April, having previously served as a director between April 2010 and May 2013. He also served as chairman from June 2010 to May 2013. TransUnion has appointed Sudhish Mohan chief operating officer in South Africa.
Mohan has a BCom economics and business management and an MBA.
He spent the past five years with Sasol, where he held various global and regional IT roles. His last role focused on enabling the Sasol digital strategy.
Christelle Colman has been appointed MD and Tarina Vlok general manager at Elite Risk Acceptances, a wholly owned subsidiary of Old Mutual Insure.
Colman’s last post was a two-year stint as CEO of Europ Assistance South Africa. She also worked at MUA Insurance Acceptances for almost 10 years.
Vlok has 17 years’ experience in the short-term insurance industry and spent nine years as product development manager at Santam.
She has a BJuris and other qualifications from the University of Cape Town, Unisa, the Insurance Institute of South Africa and the College of Insurance.
