“I couldn’t even begin to count the hours I spent with Madiba,” she said in 2014. “For 16 of the 19 years, we worked nonstop every day, so we’d spend at least six to eight hours of those days together. And while we were travelling, it was more like 13 to 14 hours a day. It’s a lot.”
