HOW DO MILLENNIALS GET NEWS?
A 2015 survey found:
● Millennials regularly follow a wide range of topics — a mix of hard news, soft news, and more practical or news-you-can-use items
● Nearly nine in 10 get news from Facebook
● 69% get news daily
● 45% regularly follow five or more “hard news” topics
● 86% usually see diverse opinions through social media
● 40% pay for at least one newsspecific service, app, or digital subscription
● 85% say keeping up with the news is at least somewhat important to them
● Only half (51%) say they are online most or all of the day.
