KICKERS & KIDS AMONG WORST PASSENGERS
Kicking someone else’s seat is the most cited “crime” when it comes to good passenger etiquette, according to Expedia. The travel-booking website’s annual survey asked 18 229 people in 23 countries what behaviours from their fellow passengers bother flyers the most. The results show that the “Seat Kicker/Bumper/Grabber” is the most irksome offender, with 51% listing such a character as a peeve.
The “Aromatic Passenger” — with poor personal hygiene — comes in second with 43%. In third place are bothersome kids, or rather the “Inattentive Parents” (39%) who do nothing while their kids kick your chair, or tick off other items on the list.
Fourth is the “Personal Space Violator” (34%) — don’t doze off with your head on your neighbour’s shoulder — and fifth is the “Audio Insensitive” (29%), who talks loudly or listens to music that others can hear.
