The revenue in dollars taken in one year on the world’s highest-earning flight route — British Airways’ New York JFK to London Heathrow.

The figure comes from OAG, an air travel information and intelligence agency, which categorised flights both by route and carrier to come up with the top 10 highest earners. Though American Airlines, Delta and Virgin Atlantic also serve the popular route, none earn as much as BA. The second and third spot are taken by Qantas Airways’ Melbourne to Sydney ($855-million) and Emirates’ London Heathrow to Dubai ($819-million).
