Cut off from the Cradle

-

Instead of dragging all McBuffalo’s visitors to the Cradle of Humankind as initially planned, South African officials thought it would be a good idea to do a live crossing so that the Brics presidents might all be able to see our common ancestors. But you know what they say about the best-laid plans. First there was no sound and then Higher Education Minister Naledi Pandor sounded as if she were talking from a prehistoric era. The feed eventually cut off, but not before it got stuck repeatedly echoing something a Wits professor was trying to explain. McBuffalo looked like he might start chanting “Bring back the signal!” Hogarth hopes this was not David Mahlobo’s signal jammer at work again.
