Heineken SA has appointed Carmen Mohapi marketing director. She joins from Unilever, where she was skincare lead for Africa. Mohapi previously spent 10 years at SAB in various marketing positions. She will oversee the marketing of Heineken’s brands, which include Heineken, Windhoek, Amstel and Soweto Gold. Janet MacKenzie has been appointed a partner in Baker McKenzie’s corporate/M&A practice in Johannesburg.
She joined from Cliffe Dekker Hofmeyr, where she was a director and head of convergence and new media practice. McKenzie has more than 20 years of experience advising on telecoms, broadcasting and media law. The SABC has appointed Neo Momodu group executive: corporate affairs and marketing.
Momodu has an LLB (Hons) and a postgraduate diploma from Wits Business School.
She previously worked for the SABC’s public affairs division and has more than 20 years’ experience in marketing and communications. Specialist underwriters Stalker Hutchison Admiral (SHA) has appointed Nontuthuko Mhlungu public relations, brand and marketing manager.
Mhlungu joined SHA nearly three years ago.
Her previous roles were in public relations and as a media specialist. She also had an operational role as a digital distribution specialist.
