Ryan Levitas has been appointed manager of engineering products and instrumentation at African Pipes Valves & Fittings.

Levitas, who will join the executive team, holds a BSc in mechanical engineering and began his career in the civil engineering environment, working on regional infrastructure projects. Bowmans has appointed Nikhil Hira tax director in its Nairobi, Kenya, office.

Hira, a well-known commentator on economic issues in East Africa, has served as a tax leader, CFO and executive director in India, Kenya and the Middle East over a period of 33 years, since he qualified in London as a chartered accountant. Jim Holland has joined Lenovo Data Centre Group as the new country head for SA.

Holland has more than 17 years’ experience in the information technology sector and was previously part of the executive team at Axiz. He was responsible for the HPE business and services and was involved in developing other enterprise business units. Power company Cummins has appointed Thierry Pimi executive MD of Cummins for Africa and the Middle East area business organisation. He is currently the MD for Cummins Southern Africa.

Pimi has led the Cummins SA business since 2016, having joined the company in 2009 in the corporate strategy team in the US.
