Yellow metal treasure trove up for grabs at Nasrec

● As the month heads to a close, Park Village Auctions will once again make a bevy of quality trucks, trailers and yellow metal available by auction at their truck yard in Nasrec, Johannesburg.

That’s the word from PVA’s LeRoy Augustyn, who says there are bargains to be had as the company puts genuine bankrepossessed vehicles on the block.

He said: “We are seeing demand from buyers countrywide, indicating that the market finds the right balance of quality and value for money at our auctions.

“There is no doubt that this demand correlates with the rand’s recent downward performance, which will most likely raise inflation and, in turn, see new vehicle prices rise. Buyers expect tough times ahead and want to keep costs as low as possible when it comes to replenishing their fleets.”

Truck-tractor brands to go on the block include International, Nissan, MercedesBenz, Freightliner, MAN TGA, Scania, Iveco, Hino, Renault and Volvo.

In addition to these assets, a fleet of MAN and Volkswagen Lions Explorer buses will also go under the hammer.

Rigid trucks include MAN, Mitsubishi, Nissan UD40, 80 and 90, Toyota Dyna, Hino and Tata.

Trailers and earth-moving equipment to be auctioned include a large fleet of flatdeck link trailers, SA Truck Bodies, Henred Fruehauf, Afrit and Motor Trail flat-deck side tippers, Tautliner trailers, skidsteer loaders, Bell-Liebherr HX230E excavators and backhoe loaders.

The auction is on Thursday September 27 at 10.30am, at PVA’s truck yard at the Nasrec Showgrounds, gate No 2, 1 Nasrec Road, Johannesburg South.
