Martina Biene has been appointed head of the Volkswagen brand in SA. She was previously head of product marketing for the Volkswagen brand in Wolfsburg, Germany.
Biene has 16 years’ experience in the Volkswagen group, having worked in product planning and product marketing for luxury vehicles in Europe. DHL Global Forwarding has appointed Egidio Monteiro CEO for Southern Africa.
He has more than 17 years’ experience, most recently as MD of DHL Express in Angola. Monteiro started his career with DHL Express in 2001 as an operations supervisor and progressed to lead sales for oil and energy sector and gateway hub operations. Heineken SA has appointed Gerrit van Loo MD and Mandisi Feni human resources (HR) director.
Van Loo previously headed Heineken Ethiopia as MD. He has a bachelor’s degree in economics and a master’s degree in law, and completed the advanced management programme at Harvard University.
Feni joined Heineken SA in September from Toyota, where he was head of HR. Before that, he worked as HR director for Bayer, covering SA and 12 other countries in Southern Africa. He has also worked at Coca-Cola, Ricoh and SAA in HR director roles.
Feni has a BSc in industrial psychology and a diploma in management.
