MacCurtain returns to the UK
2001:
Jesuits in Britain investigate Segodisho’s complaint against MacCurtain
2002:
MacCurtain is banned from public ministering and put under supervision at a Jesuit centre in London
2003:
Segodisho receives a R25,000 ex-gratia payment from the Jesuit in Britain
2017:
Jesuits in Britain approach the Dorset police with their investigation of Segodisho’s allegations against MacCurtain, which they say are “well founded”. In the same year, a damning report into child sexual abuse in the Catholic church is released by Australia’s RMIT University’s centre for global research
February 2018:
Jesuits in SA and the Johannesburg Catholic Diocese claim this is the first time they have been made aware of Segodisho’s claims against MacCurtain
