PENDULUM BY BLACK COFFEE

For Autumn/Winter 2019, Black Coffee swings between the past and the present with a retrospective collection inspired by designer Jacques van der Watt’s 21 years in fashion. Van der Watt took a key look from each year and reinvented and transformed them, staying true to the Black Coffee graphic geometry and sculptural construction.

1. Counterpoint cubist Coat using Picasso’s African mask period as an inspiration. 2. Quartz Formation Dress: inspired by the refraction of light found in mineral formations. 3. Mosaic Butterfly Dress: from the Black Coffee 2016 installation collection.
