“I grew up in a big family and learnt to cook at an early age. I’ve had no formal training but find cooking therapeutic. I also love watching cooking shows on TV. My recipe was inspired by my grandmother, who prepared a similar dessert for Christmas. I have made some adjustments to her recipe and adapted it to be cooked either on the stove or in a potjie over a fire.”
