CALL OF THE BEAGLE
The Dog Bark Park Inn, in Cottonwood, Idaho, surely qualifies as one of the world’s quirkiest hotels, given how its doublestorey guest room is in the shape of a giant beagle.
Created in 2003 by two “chainsaw artists”, the 9m-high inn — and also the “World’s Biggest Beagle”, nicknamed Sweet Willy — has two bedrooms. Guests enter the “body” via a staircase up the dog’s rear. The main bedroom is inside the dog’s head, and there is a cosy hang-out alcove in the muzzle. $132 per night for two people.
