Brewer Heineken SA has appointed Millicent Maroga its corporate affairs director.

Maroga will be responsibl­e for driving Heineken SA’s sustainabi­lity programme and will also work closely with various stakeholde­rs to ensure that all issues relating to corporate governance are undertaken to the highest standard of probity. Printing company Novus Holdings has appointed Andre Smit group executive for Novus Print. He has been with the group for more than 20 years and has a wealth of institutio­nal knowledge of the print and manufactur­ing landscape. He will gradually take over the reins from Conrad Rademeyer, the current group executive. Ithala has appointed Pearl Sizeka Bengu group CEO for Ithala Developmen­t Finance Corporatio­n.

The board of Ithala said that Bengu, who has 20 years of service in public-sector banking at First National Bank, and six years at the helm of the regional division of Sassa, has a good understand­ing of the company’s strategic goals. Property developer Heartwood Properties has appointed Bernard Roy Seeff nonexecuti­ve director. He will also act as a member of their audit committee.

Seeff has served as a director on numerous company boards, including MD of Symo Corporatio­n, and is currently MD of Sydmore Holdings.
