Get into gear with a wide range of vehicles on offer

-

● Park Village Auctions is gearing up for its first vehicle auction of 2019 which is set to take place on Wednesday.

While it may seem counterintuitive to buy a big ticket item such as a car in January, PVA’s Clive Lazarus explained that this is, in fact, the best time for budget-savvy buyers to acquire quality used vehicles.

Said Lazarus: “It’s no secret that dealerships focus (almost exclusively) on new vehicle sales between December and January.

“First, aiming to smash annual targets at year-end and then pushing new launches in the New Year. This is great for those who can afford a brand-new set of wheels, but what about those that can’t?

“The budget-conscious know that increased inflation rates and fuel prices are going to eat into their monthly disposable income, so they are looking to secure an upgrade with affordable repayments to offset running costs as much as possible. That’s where auctions come into play.

“Genuine bank-repossessed car auctions have always presented a favourable way for buyers to get their hands on newer wheels, often with warranties and service plans still intact, without over-extending themselves.

“Bidders set the price they are willing to pay, finance is available on the auction floor and insurance premiums on used vehicles are generally lower (depending on the make and model of the car).”

Lazarus noted that another benefit of car auctions was that buyers had a wider selection of vehicles.

Over the years, PVA’s Martindale car auctions have earned a solid reputation for bringing a large assortment of genuine, repossessed vehicles ranging from basic hatchbacks and student-orientated cars to top of the range SUVs and luxury sedans to market — and this time will be no different.

“The banks have commissioned a fine array of vehicles to be sold on the 16th. Buyers will be spoilt for choice and opportunities to acquire quality used cars at much lower than market value,” said Lazarus.

The auction will commence at 10.30am at 221 Main Road, Martindale, Johannesburg, with viewing taking place the day before from 9am-4pm.
