State vehicle auction bonanza for E Cape

More than 1,000 cars up for sale in PE, Mthatha, East London

-

GoIndustry DoveBid has been awarded the tender to dispose of government vehicles on behalf of the Eastern Cape department of transport. Buyers can look forward to five live auctions of more than 1,000 government vehicles over the next two months.

These auctions will be held in East London, Port Elizabeth and Mthatha and will feature a range of passenger vehicles, buses, ambulances and bakkies including brands such as Ford, Volkswagen, Audi, Nissan, Chevrolet and Toyota.

The managing director of GoIndustry DoveBid, John Cowing, says: “We are very pleased to have been awarded this tender. We have vast experience within the government vehicle industry, having sold over 2,600 government vehicles on behalf of the Western Cape department of transport and public works over the last five years.

These sales have proven to be very successful and we expect no different for the upcoming auctions for the Eastern Cape government.”

Brett Gallinetti, project manager at GoIndustry DoveBid, provides more detail on the first of the five auctions.

“Each auction will feature between 200 and 300 vehicles, with the first auction set for October 29 in East London.

“Bidders can visit www.go-dove.com or www.allsurplus.com to view each vehicle on the auction, which is represented by multiple photos and full asset descriptions.

“While this is a live auction, we encourage interested bidders to make use of our innovative online registration procedure, simply by sending us a WhatsApp and pre-registering on our website.

“We are further able to offer a unique service for any bidders that are unable to attend in person. After completing the online registration they are able to place proxy bids on the lots. Our appointed GoIndustry proxy bidder will then bid up until the agreed proxy bid value on the buyer’s behalf.

“For ease of participation, buyers should make note of some important terms and conditions associated with this auction. Only 250 individual bidders will be permitted onsite on the day of the auction and no groups will be permitted in order to abide to Covid19 social distancing regulations.

“A R10,000 registration fee is payable in order to be approved for bidding and successful purchasers are required to pay a R1,000 documentation handling fee.”

To pre-register, save this WhatsApp number, 076-931-9904, send a WhatsApp message, “car auction”, and you will be taken through an easy registration process.
