Sun sign: Aquarius Moon sign: Taurus Rising Sign: Cancer

This strange year will soon be over, with the next promising prosperity and opportunity. Still, it won’t be without its difficulties.

Your love life is strained and, frankly, you’d like to climb on a plane and disappear. Relationships have always been difficult for you. For a start, you’re not convinced anyone will ever really love you. And second, you have conflicting energies — one inclined to martyrdom, the other demanding its own way. Anger and frustration are the result. Finding healthy ways to deal with the former will help you enormously. Try kick-boxing perhaps. Your working life, however, is improving every day. And as you know, when you’re doing well, you have the confidence to handle the rest of your life. Meanwhile, if you’re thinking of leaving — home, town, the country — now would be a good time. Change is a great idea. It’s time for a new perspective.

LIBRA Sep 23 - Oct 22

Be bold. Take a giant leap into the unknown. They’ll all be impressed enough to offer assistance, or at least, applause. Think of yourself as Sleeping Beauty, awakened to your true potential after a long sleep. So now what? Start a new business, make a movie, fall madly in love with the boss or just do something spectacular. You’ll know it when you see it. Saturday’s lunar eclipse will get the ball rolling.

SCORPIO Oct 23 - Nov 21

If the love life is off, don’t fret. Your relationship planet has gone strict and inflexible, so difficult vibes are part of the deal. The trick is patience and vulnerability (yikes!). Also, try not to blame the other guy. Focus instead on what you can do to keep the ship afloat, assuming you want to. There’s also a hint of over-indulgence. Back to gym. The lunar eclipse is offering ways to reinvent or love yourself just as you are.

SAGITTARIUS Nov 22 - Dec 21

Luck and a glorious lunar eclipse are responsible for a sudden windfall or prosperous new partnership. Maybe even an inheritance. Use the money to fix up your home, turning it into the kind of place you love to come back to. Meanwhile, misunderstandings with family are driving you to do rebellious things you’ll regret. Try dealing with the issue instead.

You’re wonderfully eloquent when you stop sulking.

CAPRICORN Dec 22 - Jan 19

Always prefer to operate on the edge of adrenalin flow, don’t you? Well now’s your chance. You, more than anyone, can find ways to triumph over this planetary lunacy and profit from it. If you’re open to commitment of any kind and willing to keep your intentions clear, there’s no limit to your potential. Use Saturday’s lunar eclipse to remind yourself you deserve the best of everything. Mention that to the moon goddess.

AQUARIUS Jan 20 - Feb 18

Those mildly dodgy partnerships could be in trouble, especially if someone is not carrying their load. A more honest look at individual strengths and weaknesses will help increase productivity. Failing that, minor changes could be needed. Also, spare time for your health. You’re hanging on to more tension than you need. Do something for your body. Dance naked under Saturday’s lunar eclipse.

PISCES Feb 19 - Mar 20

You may think Saturday’s helpful lunar eclipse is all about your career, and since the working life has been extraordinary of late, you’re not entirely wrong. Except the real issue is about your personal journey. How much do you think you’re worth; what would you do with extra money; what do you really want to accomplish? These are the questions to ask. Keep notes. You’re not always as sane as you think you are.

ARIES Mar 21 - April 19

If you don’t know what’s going on, how do you expect anyone else to? This time, your close friends probably understand your situation a lot better than you do. So swallow your pride and ask for help. It’s only a matter of direction you’re after, not life support. Now, where was that marvellous smile? Either way, Saturday’s lunar eclipse will send you all the clues you need.

TAURUS Apr 20 - May 21

The luck planet is travelling backwards in your sign. Don’t be amazed if your fortunes take a few sideways steps — until January to be precise. Not that the news is all bad. The trick lies in careful planning and working with your instincts. In fact, Saturday’s Taurus lunar eclipse will have some very interesting news. Even so, expect delays and weird surprises. If you’re feeling out of control, so much the better. You’ll just have to learn to trust the process. At last.

GEMINI May 22 - Jun 20

Home is the best place for you now. Invite friends, maybe even the boss, over for a drink. The boss is pondering your bonus, so be nice. Meanwhile, make your January choices early. Next year’s planets start misbehaving from the 2nd. Love is blossoming, or will be after Saturday’s lunar eclipse. Concentrate on that. Meanwhile, forgive everyone who’s been mean to you. No point carrying negative energy into the new year.

CANCER June 21 - Jul 22

Isn’t it the easiest thing to forget past lessons and repeat the same mistakes all over again? And would that, or would that not, be incredibly dense? So until Saturday’s lunar eclipse has made its message clear, cool it with the wild new ideas. Use this time to finish off the old ones, or toss them out where they (maybe) belonged all the time. You probably won’t miss them a bit. Next week brings a whole array of new excitement.

LEO Jul 23 - Aug 22

Romance is everywhere, commitment a little scarcer. Don’t you dare feel obliged. The planets are playing with you, bringing luck and opportunity, combined with blurred vision and unclear thought. Best plan? Enjoy the moments, but hold off on the 10-year plans. There are chances to shine now.

Put on your sparkliest smile and charm the pants off them all. Saturday’s lunar eclipse will have some new ideas about money.

VIRGO Aug 23 - Sep 22

Long-term changes in health and career coming up. And while you digest that, look out for changes in your spiritual direction under Saturday’s lunar eclipse. Suddenly your dreams and wishes are different. And just to add to your confusion, there’s a disagreement with a friend. Strangely, you don’t mind any of it as much as you thought you would. All part of a new adventure, one in which you’re finally making all the rules.
