Communication breakdown

-

HOGARTH was surprised to learn how swiftly Dlamini and his crew had acted in cancelling Vavi’s union cellphone account after they announced that he had been fired and needed to return all Cosatu property in his possession.

It turns out he was switched off after Dlamini received a very angry SMS from his former comrade.

“Sdumo,” Vavi wrote, “I have to consider suing you in your personal capacity if you go out just to lie . . .

“Be warned. This is not a banana republic where you can just go and defame without consequences.”

Unreliable sources say Dlamini is now considering changing his own number.
