Can you name a bunch of Charles Dickens’s characters — besides the obvious ones? While looking up the cast for this new drama series, which is a mashup of Dickensian characters plucked from their original stories and woven into one, I realised I didn’t know where half the characters belonged. Opinions on the show were as you’d expect. Some like it, some don’t, and there are the usual voices of those who hold classic art sacrosanct. Watch it and see where you stand.
