On the ’make’

GOOD evening, Mr Calland. I am a 27-year-old unemployed individual from the village of Kwaggafontein in Mpumalanga. I couldn’t help but laugh as you spectacularly narrated the “break” scenario in “The battle for the soul of SA” (September 18) — and found it difficult to narrate the “make” scenario.

My make scenario wouldn’t have Cyril Ramaphosa as its president. Marikana is hanging over him and he is still part of the disastrous status quo. The less said about Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma the better. Great article indeed and a good read. — Wanda Nkosi, by e-mail
