Router never even worked

I WAS finagled into an additional contract over the phone — purportedl­y because I had been with Vodacom for 21 years and was going to receive a gift. The call came after I had renewed my contract and I was told I would receive a free router and R100 would be taken off my contract. When the router eventually arrived, I could not activate it. The Vodacom store I went to couldn’t activate it, saying it was a new contract with one of Vodacom’s trade partners, Mondo. I then logged a dispute but received an SMS from Mondo to say my complaint was invalid. It has just gone from bad to worse with calls to Vodacom, where I have had a range of “team leaders” who said they would listen to the call and come back. They have not done so. —
