ONE man who missed the budget speech was finance-minister-in-waiting Brian Molefe, who was kind enough to delay his swearing-in as an MP by a day just so that PG could get all the attention for his farewell speech.

The next day, however — the man who may or may not be a regular at Saxonwold Shebeen — was like a kid on his first day of school, as he arrived early for his first sitting.

He found his seat, had someone show him how to work the electronic system and then waited to meet the other kids in his class.

But when they arrived, it was clear Brian had some work to do as the MP seated next to him spent most of the sitting clutching her handbag to her chest defensively.

It’s OK Brian, sometimes it takes people some time to warm up to the new guy. Although it probably didn’t help that the EFF called you a “corrupt bastard” about three minutes into your first sitting.
