Better late than never

-

IT has been 15 years since No 1 paid lobolo for Swazi princess Sebentile Dlamini. During that period, the Nkandla Crooner not only became No 1 — he also married three more wives and fathered a number of children. But no wedding date for the poor Swazi princess.

With so many years gone by, Hogarth was convinced that the Prez had lost interest, but was just avoiding a diplomatic row by not recalling his lobolo cattle from the royal kraal.

And then yesterday the princess made a very public appearance. She was introduced to the audience as “President Jacob Zuma’s fiancée” at a church event to honour, wait for it, the president’s former wife, Dr Nkosazana DlaminiZuma.
