Mahesh Bang offers predictions and life advice to those in need

I HAVE been to three dermatologists about my hair loss and had no improvement. Instead, it’s worsening. Doctors seem unable to help. What can you suggest to improve my situation? – NS

THE planetary configuration in your chart reflects a very weak moon, while Saturn’s current transit is not so good.

Saturn’s earlier transit was very bad and the main cause of your hair loss, besides any other health condition.

According to astrology and Ayurvedics, your hair situation is likely to improve if you do the following with devotion:

• Reading the Durga-kavach, Ram Raksha Stotra or Narasimha Kavacham daily will help to improve your immunity. Any of these prayers can have miraculous results for your health as well as other benefits.

• If you are vegetarian, ensure your diet is balanced and includes spinach, carrots, oranges, apples, grapes, pomegranates and tomatoes.

• Hair loss usually results from emotional stress. So avoid stress and remember your bad luck is only temporary.

• Don’t comb your hair when it is wet.

• After lunch or dinner, sit in a “Vajrasana” (yoga) posture for at least five minutes. You can start with a minute and build up, spending a longer time each day. If possible, comb your hair for a minute while in that position.

• Asanas are usually done with an empty stomach, but Vajrasana is one of the few exceptions. It can be done immediately after a meal, and aids digestion.

• Oil your hair at least once a year. If pure coconut oil suits you, apply slowly with your fingertips.

• Fast every Saturday and follow a vegetarian diet on Mondays, at least until the new year.

• Chant Om Namah Shivaya for 10 minutes, daily.

• Read the Shree Hanuman Chalisa daily.

• Consult an Ayurvedic doctor and/or an endocrinologist or another dermatologist.

I AM a Grade 12 pupil and would like to know what the future holds for me in terms of my education, health and employment. – NN

WHEN you turn 21, your luck will improve.you will do very well in your studies.

You will, however, be prone to ear, nose and throat or stomach problems. Make a habit of drinking two glasses of water in the morning, to aid your immunity.

Continue working hard. you have a bright future.

I WRITE to you as a worried, stressed mother. Please do a reading for my daughter who has obtained her Master’s degree cum laude in microbiology from UKZN.

She has struggled to find employment in her field of study. She worked abroad teaching English, but is now at home unemployed.

Will she find a good job in her field? Will she find employment in South Africa, and will she meet someone special and settle down in the near future? – AV

ASTROLOGICALLY, no planets are blocking your daughter’s progress. Other factors might be affecting her.

According to her chart, she would be more fortunate in her profession if she were to move away from her birthplace. Joburg or Cape Town would suit her better. Working overseas would also be a good option.

If she is unable to land a good job this year, other factors could be the cause.

An opportunity could arise for her between June and November, so stay positive.

When her career issues are settled, she will find a good partner.

I NEED to know about my career, finances, health. – DJ

THE next transit of Saturn favours you. In your chart, the planet is powerful and beneficial. So your future is bright and you will enjoy good health. Your finances will improve greatly from 2020.

MY SON is in matric. Please advise on his health and career path. – SH

YOUR son is lucky. His 10th house (of profession) is strong. There seems to be good prospects for him in any career.

But the next two years will not be good for him and could confuse him on career choice. Law, accounting, marketing and engineering are good options, among others.

In terms of health, his stomach and sinuses could trouble him. He is vulnerable to coughs and colds.
