-

KAVIR Udiajoo, 31, a Kaizen specialist at Toyota-boshoku from Isipingo Rail, and Prenola Govender, 25, an IT consultant with Leading Edge Solutions from umkomaas, married on June 17 at the Isipingo Hindu Sabha, Isipingo Hills. HOW WE MET

Kavir’s gym partner introduced us. I commented “nice arms” when I saw his picture on my friend’s Facebook page and she said “no way, you’ll ruin my training schedule if he likes you”. We met at Virgin Active in Amanzimtoti and, needless to say, gym schedules changed. THE PROPOSAL & WEDDING While having lunch at The Cargo Hold Restaurant, ushaka Marine World on my birthday, Kavir made me edgy, saying “we can’t go on like this,” and suddenly went on one knee to pop the question. A photographer captured the moment.

Our wedding was a blend of South and North Indian rituals, followed by a modern reception. WEDDING BLACK BOOK Outfits: Khashish, Oriental Plaza, Joburg. Hair & make-up: Mark & Clint Bridal Specialists. Durga. Vishnu Singh. Samcat Events. Flowers Direct, Southgate Business Park.

It’s important to know your own soul before you decide to merge with another.

In our marriage, we laugh together at the silliest things and, most importantly, God is at the centre of our marriage.
