- SM REPORTER

AS WE wind down the long weekend, what better way to officially bring in the new season than by being outdoors and having a great time at East Coast Radio’s new event – Concert, Comedy and Craft. Taking place tomorrow at the Durban Botanic Gardens, it promises to be a day filed with laughter, great food and drink and of course, jams. The laid back event will bring together a lineup of celebrated local musicians, popular comedians and some of the best craft food and drinks that KZN has to offer.

Among the musicians who will be performing are iconic afro pop band Mango Groove, awardwinning singing duo Mafikizolo, music legends Ladysmith Black Mambazo and alternative rock band Gangs of Ballet, while the line-up of comedians includes ECR’S Darren Maule and Rory Petzer, as well as Barry Hilton, Carvin Goldstone and Chris Forrest.

The Concert, Comedy and Craft Festival will boast two stages – one with the headline acts and another with local acoustic acts.

It promises to be a great day out for the whole family complete with a food market, a craft beer, gin and whiskey area, a kids zone, open air art and drumming classes.

Oh and come dressed in your traditional best. The person who is the best dressed in traditional attire will win a whopping R50 000.

The fun day out starts at 10.30am and runs until the afternoon.
