Reliance to stage major KZN multi-property sale

RELIANCE Auctions is staging an important multi-property auction at the Durban Country Club at 11am on October 10.

Three of several properties to be sold are:

Rita’s Guest House in Vryheid, pictured.

Unitrans Motor dealership in Amanzimtoti.

A Pietermaritzburg residential complex.

David Soutter, MD of Reliance Auctions, says Rita’s Guest House, at 207 Hlobane Street in Vryheid, is a popular lodge with 90% weekly occupancy. Located on a 5 450m² plot, the guest house has 29 en-suite luxury rooms and conference facilities in regular use.

“The 1 700m² guest house represents an exceptionally lucrative business opportunity.

“It is in excellent condition and only on auction because the owners are retiring,” says Soutter.

Unitrans Motors is situated in a busy central part of Amanzimtoti overlooking the N2 highway. The 1 600m² property is leased to Unitrans until 2020, and there are strong indications the tenants will renew their occupancy, Soutter says.

The apartments are likely to prove popular with students at the nearby university and the proximity of Southgate Shopping Centre is another attraction.
