If you were mayor for the day, what would you do? I would increase the budget for the youth office to R1 billion and put in a monitoring system to make sure that money was being used accordingly. I would introduce a new policy that puts a ceiling on companies doing work with the city, avoiding a situation whereby you find a company that has been doing work with the city for more than 10 years. That’s not fair to new companies, especially those owned by youths because it means they will never get a chance. Finally, I would open an office to deal directly with all NGO’S and NPO’S in the city.
