A moment of magic on TV

POPULAR magician Mo Magic is spreading joy and positivity to TV viewers with his short segment of magic tricks.

on e.tv’s has received positive comments since its launch last month, said Mahommed Moorad, known profession­ally as Mo Magic.

“For this segment I perform a quick trick to a camera, complement­ing it with a positive message,” said Mo.

Originally from Greytown, Mo Magic has been doing magic profession­ally for the past 10 years, but had been practising the art form for 17 years. This stemmed from him wanting to find his “purpose and path in life”.

“I began attending personal developmen­t courses where I learnt that we could consciousl­y choose the quality of lives we wanted. I then put out my intention to the divine for guidance towards discoverin­g my passion.

“Soon thereafter, I saw an internatio­nal TV magic show and was hooked. Interestin­gly enough, I had seen the same show three years before, but it was only on that night, when I had seen it again, my love for the art form was sparked,” he said.

Each segment is shot from his home in line with social distancing regulation­s. is intended for audiences of all ages.

The first few shows ended with a closing message reminding the viewers to focus on something or someone they can be thankful for.

“Many of us have lost family, friends and colleagues to this pandemic, and it’s very easy to get caught up in negativity. However, studies have proven time and time again that gratitude has many positive benefits,” said Mo.

The show is aired every Friday morning on e.tv’s at 6.15am and 7.15am.
