CANNON’S Auctioneer­s is offering a fine selection of vintage items online for lovers of antiques and collectibl­es.

Items will be selling on Wednesday and Thursday, from 8am daily, and viewing will be from tomorrow.

China collectors can look out for the Copeland “Spode’s Italian” dinner and tea service – a six-place setting that is expected to sell for around R15 000.

The 95-piece Royal Albert “Colleen” dinner and tea service should achieve close to R10 000, and tea sets in the “Tranquilit­y” and “Cottage Garden” patterns are anticipate­d to achieve R2 000 each.

A great selection of jewellery can be viewed online and by appointmen­t only. Collectors of Carrol Boyes have a great selection to choose from, including dishes and condiment sets. Many other cutlery sets will also be available.

A rare Russian icon is also going under the hammer and expected to fetch R3 000 to R5 000.

Silver enthusiast­s might be interested in the epergne (R16 000), tea set (R8 000), salver (R15 000) and two Indian colonial repousse tankards by George Gordon & Co. (R20 000).

Other collectabl­es include Zulu dancing sticks, spears, ear plugs and beer pots, fountain pens, vintage car badges, an 18th century flintlock pistol, bayonets and clocks. There will also

be investment bronzes and artworks available.

Those in need of furniture can look out for a range of 19th and 20th century pieces, from dining suites and leather settees to antique wardrobes and Persian carpets.
