Findu and outdoor safety tips

-

FEEL safe wherever you go with the ADT Findu app that monitors movement, alerts emergency contacts and sends appropriate help in an emergency.

ADT Findu provides a range of emergency services when you need them, dispatched to your location via GPS co-ordinates. ADT Findu is not a substitute for an alarm or armed response, but a service that turns your smartphone into a personal safety and monitoring service.

Even if you have a mobile panic button set up, ADT Security would like to encourage the public to keep the following outdoor safety tips in mind when out and about.

• Make sure your cellphone is properly charged so that you are able to call for help in case of an emergency.

• Don’t use the same training or walking route every day. Varying the route makes it difficult for any would-be criminal to anticipate your movements.

• Leave the headphones at home. It is better to remain aware of your surroundings at all times so that you can hear any oncoming vehicles or other potential risks to your safety.

• If you have an alarm system at home, remember to activate it before leaving for your training session or outdoor activity. Lock all the doors and gates, so that your loved ones can be safe while they wait for your return.
