Conditions: Mainly cloudy and not as warm, with a brief shower or two. Rock and Surf: Fishing in the harbour has been mediocre this past week. The fish that have been coming out have mostly been on artificial baits such as drop shot, hard plastics and spoons. Amanzimtoti has had copious amounts of big flat fish, as well as the odd edible coming out. As for Margate Pier, quite a few shad have been taken – also smaller edibles such as kob, grunter and bronze bream. Weekly tip: From Cape Vidal to Richards Bay, fishing has also been quite productive, with edibles being landed.
