SCHANELL MOODLEY & CHRISTOPHER GANESH

God is at the centre of our love and lives

-

CHRISTOPHER Ganesh, 32, a senior project manager at an IT company, and Schanell Moodley, 28, a project manager at Vodacom, both from Durban and now living in Pretoria, married on March 4 at St Thomas Anglican Church in Musgrave. HOW WE MET

Friends thought it would be a good idea for us to get to know each other. Our first date was filled with surprises and activities. THE PROPOSAL & MARRIAGE

Christopher asked me to be ready by 4am one Saturday. We drove to the Cradle of Humankind in Maropeng and, as the sun rose, I was taken up in a hot air balloon over a game reserve. It was there that he asked me to spend my life with him.

We had the wedding in Durban, where most of our family and friends live. We had a traditional ceremony in a church built in 1865. The reception was at the Enchanted Garden, old Durban airport, attended by 160 people. WEDDING BLACK BOOK Jamine Bridal. Joubert Bros,

Trying to co-ordinate the function from another province was a huge challenge. We’re both perfectionists and worried about the finer details. VIEWS ON LOVE & MARRIAGE

Marriage is about the days and years after the wedding day. We bought our first home and are working towards a marriage that honours one another with God at the centre of our lives.
