‘Sweet film’ opens on a high note

DIRECTED by Akshay Roy, the Bollywood film Meri Pyaari Bindu is sure to be a crowd pleaser.

Starring Parineeti Chopra and Ayushmann Khurrana in the lead roles, the plot revolves around Bindu, an up-and-coming singer who is always changing her mind.

Abhimanyu Roy is a corporate novelist and the love interest of Bindu. Their relationsh­ip faces many challenges and depicts the struggles many modern couples face.

The soundtrack for the film is composed by Sachin-jigar with lyrics by Priya Saraiya and Kausar Munir. Maana Ke Hum Yaar Nahi, one of the songs, is sung by Parineeti Chopra herself.

The songs have been recorded by world-renowned artists, including Sonu Nigam, Clinton Cerejo and Arijit Singh, Dominique Cerejo, Monali Thakur, Nakash Aziz, Sanah Moidutty, Jigar Saraiya and Jonita Gandhi.

The full soundtrack was released on April 19 with many of the songs doing well on the charts.

The film is now showing across cinemas in South Africa.

Audiences across the globe have used social media to express their views.
