Helen Zille reined in
WESTERN Cape Premier Helen Zille has again saved her own bacon after apologising unreservedly to South Africans who were offended by her colonialism tweets.
She also apologised for the remarks she made in trying to justify the tweets.
DA leader Mmusi Maimane, who briefed the media on Tuesday, said Zille would step down from all her roles in the party, which include the Federal Executive, Federal Council and Provincial Council.
Maimane said the decision was not an easy one to reach.
