New evidence helps

TWO damning reports were released this week by Public Protector Busisiwe Mkhwebane.

One was a report into killings and illegal evictions at the Glebelands Hostel in umlazi.

Mkhewebane found that the ethekwini Municipality, police and the KZN government failed to provide a safe environment for the Glebelands hostel residents.

The second was a controversial report regarding the repayment of an apartheid-era bailout to Absa forerunner Bankorp.
