Meet my mom’s chickens – Noah
SOUTH African comedian and The Daily Show host Trevor Noah is in the country and taking on the state of affairs in his latest stand-up tour titled There’s a Gupta on My Stoep.
After filling up the Ticketpro Dome in Johannesburg for three consecutive nights, he is headed to the Durban ICC today.
After Friday’s show, he took to social media to thank his fans who paid between R450 and R1 400 a ticket for the show.
“Thank you Mzansi, thank you Jozi, thank you mom and thank you every single person who came out or even wanted to come out to the shows. I started my comedy career in this city and I’m honoured that in this same city we got to create history together,” he wrote on Instagram.
The audience must have received its money’s worth because his shows trended afterwards as they complimented him on his jokes and delivery.
“My family and I enjoyed the show so much, Trevor. I am glad we were part of history. Keep up the good work and continue flying our Mzansi flag so high,” Tsholofelo Lenkopane Melodi wrote on his Facebook page.
Long-time fan Cynthia Steyn was very excited when she got the opportunity to take a picture with her favourite comedian. “Loved your show, Trevor. So glad I could get tickets this time,” she captioned the picture on Facebook.
Among local celebrities who were part of Noah’s audience were rapper AKA (real name Kiernan Forbes) and his media darling girlfriend Bonang Matheba, who went backstage to chat to Noah. Friday’s audience was also treated to a “surprise” performance by the All Eyes on Me hitmaker.
In between preparation for his shows, Noah visited his mother, Patricia Noah, and introduced her chickens to his 1.6 million Instagram followers.
