MINERS REACH SALARY DEAL
UNIONS have signed threeyear wage agreements with Sibanye-stillwater at its Kroondal platinum group metals operations.
“It was pleasing to note the acceptance of the wage agreement by all the unions, namely the Association of Mineworkers and Construction Union (Amcu), the National Union of Mineworkers (NUM) and Solidarity,” the group’s chief executive, Neal Froneman, said this week.
The agreement is effective from July 1 this year. It includes a R1 000 a month increase year-onyear for the next three years for the category B workers and Cpi-related increases for category A employees. – ANA
