Friendship blooms into love

- KENDRA HALL IN GREYVILLE

KEVALEN Moodley, 27 and Deshnee Moodley, 29, both from Durban and both marketing professionals at Unilever, were married on December 8 at the Kendra Hall in Greyville in the presence of 400 guests.

How we met: A mutual friend introduced us. Our relationship started as a friendship. The proposal and wedding:

Kevalen took me to ushaka, and insisted we go on a gondola ride. To my surprise, I was asked to grab a floating bottle from the water. There was a message in the bottle. I turned

to him and was then faced with my love, on his knees, asking me to marry him. Biggest challenges: Having to move house and plan a wedding at the same time proved challenging. Views on love and marriage:

Falling in love is easy, it’s holding on to that love, with a commitment to always work through everything together, that makes a marriage work. It requires a conviction to always seek a solution when faced with trying circumstances, instead of a means to escape.
