QUESTION: Next year, I’m going to Pune, India to further a career in the performing arts. Will I have a successful career in the performing arts? I suffer from poor concentration and tend to be forgetful. Could you please advise me on how to better myself in these aspects of my life? SS.

“Om – The Absolute Sound” Om (Aum) is one of the most sacred sounds in Sanskrit. It is said to be the sound, or vibration, of the universe.

“Chanting Om”

Recited slowly it will naturally bring you into a meditative state. Chant using the following method :

The approximate time for chanting an Om (aum) mantra is 10 seconds.

A – 2.5 seconds (pronounced “oo”), with rounded open lips.

U – 2.5 seconds, with partially closed lips.

M – 5 seconds with lips closed.

Inhale deeply and with one continuous exhalation while chanting

“Oooooooo~~~~~hhhhhhhhhh~~~~~ Mmmmmmm~~~~~(aauummmm)”. Make each breath last as long as possible.
