Phumla turns soapie into hell

THE second coming of Phumla, portrayed by sultry actress Nomalanga Nkosi on is set to turn television heartthrob Scelo s life into a living hell and break his virginity.
Nkosi (27) will make her appearance on April 7 after she was last seen on the e.tv soapie playing Lindiwe s friend Mary s mother.
She returns as a cougar and owner of a clothing boutique who pursues Scelo, played by Mbulelo Ndlazilwana, turning him into her Ben 10.
My career started by dabbling in things like music festivals and the like,” said Nkosi, who was born in Sebokeng in the Vaal and did her high schooling in Three Rivers before moving to Joburg.

But according to the story line, Phumla visits the bar and restaurant Q s to hand out leaflets publicising her boutique.
Phumla wants Scelo to model for her and he agrees. When she flirts with him, he does not act on it. When she hits on him, he runs away. When they meet up again to talk, they end up in bed.
Scelo hears via the grapevine that Phumla has a husband and questions her. She lays down the ground rules for their relationship.
Lindiwe asks his brother Scelo if he has a new girlfriend. Scelo denies it but when Phumla fires Scelo as a model, he also hears that she has gone back to her husband.
Nkosi, who made her television debut in 2013 with a short stint appearance on the SABC1 soapie
and SABC2 s holds a degree in Fine Arts from Rhodes University.
She recently finished shooting season three of the SABC1 legal drama series and the second season of Mzansi Magic s drama
I also write stage plays. In the past few years my work has been showcased at the Grahamstown National Arts Festival, plays like
that I wrote and performed in 2009 and , a onehander, which I wrote and performed in 2014.
I would love to do more work on the film side of things. I have so far done one film,
last year, my focus is also to go international because acting is my life.”
Nkosi s other project is a mentorship programme called Girl Unlimited, assisting young women with life skills through workshops to help them cope with hardships associated with transition to adulthood.
